Hi! I'm Nicky Brown, a Paediatric Neonatologist specialising in the care of newborns, infants and children. I am passionate about helping children achieve optimal health and am dedicated to nurturing their well-being and development. Every child is unique and deserves individual attention and I will be there every step of the way to provide the guidance, support and care your little one needs to thrive. As a mom of 2 young children, I appreciate the importance of creating a calm, happy environment to see my little patients in so that visits to the doctor are met with joy and not trepidation.

I obtained my undergraduate MBChB degree at the University of Cape Town and completed my specialisation in Paediatrics at Stellenbosch University. I then did a fellowship in Neonatology in Leuven, Belgium and returned to South Africa to live and work in Johannesburg and sub-specialised in Neonatology at WITS University, working thereafter at Nelson Mandela Children's Hospital. I have also acquired diplomas in HIV, Applied Ethics and Paediatric Palliative Care.

I met my husband Andre in Johannesburg, and we have 2 young children: Rachel and Zach. I managed to convince Andre that living on the North Coast of KZN would be a good lifestyle change so we relocated in December 2021! After doing some locums and studying further I decided to open rooms at Eden Village, with admission rights to Alberlito Hospital.
