Kathryn Wikström - Counselling Psychologist

Kathryn is a counselling psychologist who is passionate about creating a safe, holistic, and healing environment where individuals can work through life’s challenges with care and dignity. She works with both adolescents and adults facing difficulties such as adjustment, loss, trauma, self-esteem struggles, and palliative care needs, among others.

Her therapeutic approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which she uses to guide treatment in a practical and empowering way. At the heart of her practice is the belief that therapy is a journey best travelled together, her role is to walk alongside her clients, helping to relieve suffering and foster genuine healing of both mind and heart.

Kathryn has had the privilege of working in diverse settings, including a clinic, physical rehabilitation centres, palliative care units, a high school, and even a police station. These experiences have deepened her understanding of human resilience and enriched her practice. Today, in her private practice, she offers treatment plans that are uniquely tailored to each person’s needs, delivered in a collaborative and holistic manner.

Psychotherapy can be both challenging and deeply rewarding. Kathryn’s aim is always to bring about meaningful healing, improve quality of life, and support overall well-being. She recognises that taking the first step into therapy can feel daunting, but it is often the most powerful and important step toward change.
